Pastor Brian and Cara Salley
|
 I was born and raised in Northwest Louisiana. I gave my
heart to Jesus at the age of thirteen. Four years later,
when I received the baptism in the Holy Spirit and was
miraculously delivered from alcohol, I found the power
to live the victorious Christian life. Over the next few
months, the Lord began to show me that His purpose for
my life was to go into ministry. In 1997, I began
attending Rhema Bible Training Center. In January of
1999, I met the love of my life, Cara, and we were
married two years later, in December of 2000. Cara was
born and raised in Springfield, Missouri. At the age of
16, she heard the gospel message for the first time, and
received Jesus as her Lord and savior. She was filled
with the Holy Ghost one year later, and knew very
quickly that she was called to spend her life sharing
the Love of Christ with the world. She also moved to
Tulsa, OK to attend Rhema in 1997. Cara graduated from
Rhema in 2000 with a major in Evangelism, and I
graduated from Rhema in 2001 with a degree in Children’s
Ministry. From there, we set out to Dothan, Alabama for
our first full time ministry opportunity. We served
under Pastor Bobby and Stephanie Marks for the next 4
years, where we gained great insight into the real life
ministry of a local church. While in Dothan, we had our
son, Brian “Darrin” Salley, who we consider to be a joy,
a delight, and a great addition to the Salley family. At
that time, we had it on our hearts to step into
traveling ministry, so we moved to Springfield Missouri,
where we began Salley Ministries
with a thrust
toward building up Helps ministries and leadership in
the church. Shortly after arriving in Springfield, the
Lord started to change our heart and place in us the
heart of a pastor. For the next two years, while we
traveled and served as leadership in our local church,
God prepared us for the step of becoming pastors of
Cornerstone Life Church in Foley, Alabama. We look
forward to the opportunity to serve Foley and the
surrounding region with the life, the power, and the
Word of God! |
